It has already been announced that Playstation Magazine was the first news outlet to review Resident Evil and they gave the game a 9 out of 10 possible points. But not much was known about the actual content of the review... until now.

With subscribers now reading the magazine, the review has been unveiled. The review calls the game "Unforgettable" and notes that the three campaigns give the game a varied feel as each one is "distinctly different." Regarding the content of the campaigns, PSM states that the game has more content and variety than any installment in the franchise.

Regarding the story, the publication was a little less forgiving and stated that they are a "little too goofy to really take seriously" but added that they are "nonetheless fascinating, particularly for those of us who've watched these characters grow and develop."

Finally they added that "RE 6 is a strange experience to be sure, but most importantly an unforgettable one."

The game carries a great deal pressure after what many fans deemed a failed attempt with Resident Evil 5. It has been almost seven years since the revolutionary Resident Evil 4 was released.

Another review by Insight Factor was published online and was negative toward the game.

RE6 will debut on the Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 2. A release date for the PC has yet to be announced.
