Resident Evil6 is still weeks away, but Capcom will not abandon its fans as they release a demo for the game today.
The demo is available for download from Xox Live or the Playstation Online Store. The demo allows players to try out all three of the main campaigns of the game.
In the first campaign, players can choose between playing as Leon Kennedy or his partner Helena Harper and explore dark corridors at Ivy University. This section of the demo harkens back to the survival horror days of the franchise when you would run through an empty mansion only to be met by rabid dogs or zombies at any turn.

The second campaign features Jake Muller, son of Albert Wesker, and Sherry Burkin. Players can take Jake through the streets of Lanshiang and fight of the J'avo. This part of the demo will emphasize the action aspect of the game as Jake takes on more complex zombies then the Leon portion does.
Finally, players can play as series staple Chris Redfield or his partner Piers Nivans as they lead a group of BSAA members through the streets of Edonia. Players will have to take down J'avo, but will also get a boss fight against the B. O. W. Ogroman. Piers comes with different weapons than those available to Chris, including a sniper rifle with thermal scope.
This is the second demo that Capcom releases for their coveted franchise game. They released one with another game entitled Dragon's Dogma for the Xbox 360, but have now made this one available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. All others will have to wait until September 25 to get the demo. Playstation owners will all have access later today when the demo becomes available. The demo is a 889MB download.
