The UEFA Champions League continues on Wednesday with groups A, B, C, and D in action.

Ajax Amsterdam vs. Real Madrid 2:45 PM ET

Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid started the 2012-13 season on a woeful note. But since a 3-2 clutch win over Man City, the team has won two straight. They looked back in form with a 5-1 win over Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday and will look to extend that play against Ajax. Ronaldo looks as confident as ever and will give the Dutch defenders all they can handle. Ajax meanwhile did not get off to the star they needed in the UCL. A 1-0 loss to Dortmund has made them longshots to ge tout of the group. They will look to take advantage of home field and try to upset the inconsistent Merengues.

Prediction: Ronaldo is back and so is Madrid. 3-0 Madrid.

Manchester City vs. Borussia Dortmund 2:45 ET

A 5-0 win over M'gladbach is a good warmup for the third place Dortmund squad as they take on a hungry Manchester City. Marco Reus has been tremendous with 4 goals in 6 games this season and the team has a solid +8 goal differential. Manchester City has been mediocre at best thus far. Yes they are in a tie for third place in the Premier League but last season's champions look weak at times, particularly in a 4-2 loss to Aston Villa in the Carling Cup. A 2-1 win to Fulham Saturday is certainly a reason to celebrate but this squad needs more if they are to overcome a solid German side.

Prediction: I would have thought a win at home was an automatic for Man City, but I think a draw is more likely in this match. 2-2.
