T-Mobile is now offering the Motorola Moto X smartphone to customers, but those who want the device from the service provider will have to order it from Motorola rather than buy it in a T-Mobile store.

Those who want the Moto X from T-Mobile must order the smartphone from its official website. However, while the T-Mobile version of the device is only available online, users do not have access to the wide range of color options that comes with the Motor Maker part of the website. Currently, T-Mobile customers can only buy the device in woven black or white, and it is unclear when the device will get the full customization treatment, as currently only AT&T customers are able to choose color options for the Moto X.

So far, the Moto X has been released for AT&T, Verizon and Sprint, in addition to T-Mobile. While other providers offer the phones in their stores, T-Mobile is keeping the device strictly as an online purchase. This is hardly a surprise. T-Mobile's Chief Marketing Officer Mike Sievert told AllThingsD that would be the service provider's initial release strategy for the phone.

"We do not plan to stock Moto X devices immediately in our stores but are working closely with Motorola to make the Moto X a great experience for T-Mobile customers. Any news about distribution in our stores would come at a later date," said Sievert.

One big piece of information that T-Mobile users should know is that, unlike other service providers who offer the Moto X for $199 with a two year subscription plan, T-Mobile has no such deal. Instead, users have to buy the phone in full for $600 without the option to put money down and pay off the phone for several months.

The specs for the Moto X do not have the stats to compete with other high-end smartphones, but that is by Motorola's design. The smartphone will have a 4.7-inch screen that can deliver a resolution of 720p. The device runs on a Snapdragon S4 Pro Processor, and is designed to help the battery last for 24 hours. The device is designed to fit comfortably in one hand, and is a compact, curved smartphone. Users can buy the device with 16GB of memory, or can buy 32GB of memory for an additional $50.
