The Motorola Moto X has been made available for AT&T and Verizon customers, and now it looks as though Sprint and T-Mobile may be the next service providers to get their hands on the customizable device. Additionally, rumors about a significant price drop have surfaced surrounding the smartphone, just weeks after it was launched.

According to the International Business Times, Sprint announced earlier in the year that they would be selling the Moto X sometime in the summer, however, nothing has been announced yet by the company. Presumably, Sprint had to wait until AT&T (who have an exclusive deal with Motorola for early access to the Moto Maker website that allows the full customization options for the device) and Verizon were able to launch the device before they too can join the Moto X market. Sprint will offer only the 16GB version of the device. Summer is just about over, so Sprint users may expect to see the Moto X show up sooner rather than later if there isn't too much more delay.

T-Mobile, who previously stated when the Moto X was first revealed that they would not sell the device in stores or online, may allow users to buy the phone through the Google Play store, according to a suggestive leak from TmoNews. However, the leak did not provide a release date for the phone. By potentially selling the phone on the Google Play store, that means T-Mobile customers would not have access to the online customization options for the device, and probably would just have the option to buy the phone in black and white.

The Moto X is currently available for $199 with a two year contract, but the device may be getting a price drop fairly soon. A Tweet from EVLeaks declared that by the fourth quarter the smartphone will have a price drop of $100, cutting the price of the device in half. This would be a huge discount, and it means that users will be able customize the phone and have it delivered to their door in four days time for a bargain price. The leak also showed that wooden backplates of ebony, bamboo, rosewood and teak will become available as well for an additional $50.

Look out for more news about the Sprint, T-Mobile, and the Developer Edition of the Moto X as summer transitions to Autumn.
