Paris Saint-Germain is stuck in a three way battle for first place and has a prime opportunity to jump ahead of the pack right before the winter break.

PSG is currently tied at 35 points with Lyon and Marseille through 18 matches thanks to a stretch of three straight victories. The squad had been falling down the standings after some inconsistent performances in November and October, but the team is back on pace to be the top in the French League. Superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored a league leading 17 goals throughout the campaign including four in the last three matches. The striker scored three goals against Valenciennes two weeks ago and has turned the team into a top contender.

Fortunately, they face off against an inconsistent Brest squad that is currently in 13th place with just 21 points. The squad has only scored 20 goals all season and has won just once in their last four matches. Their poor record is mainly due to a poor away record during which they have only won once in 10 tries. However, they have a solid record of five wins, one draw, and two losses at the Stade Francis-le Blé and could cause some issues for PSG. Their leading scorer is Eden Ben Basat who has seven goals on the season.

This is the final match for both teams before an extended Winter Break.

Prediction: PSG should win this match. 2-0 PSG.
