Paris-St. Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi confirmed on Monday that he is interested in buying the Madrid duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and coach Jose Mourinho.

"Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho are objectives for Paris Saint-Germain, of course," Al-Thani stated recently." "We are already one of the best teams in France, and it's our goal to become one of the best in Europe and the world, too."

The team has been a heavy shopper over the last few years and has added the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Javier Pastore in the last few years. The team is currently atop the French League and is in the knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League.

Mourinho has already won the UCL as coach of Porto and Internazionale. Last season his Real Madrid side finally ended Pep Guardiola and Barcelona's reign of three straight Spanish League Champions. His addition to PSG would potentially make them the top contender for the Champions League in the spring.

The addition of Ronaldo to PSG would only elevate the team further. Ronaldo has adamantly stated that he is unhappy with Real Madrid and PSG is reportedly willing to spend 125 million Euros to obtain the superstar. Madrid paid 95 million euros for Ronaldo so the offer from PSG may be extremely enticing and pressure from Ronaldo should ensure that he gets sold.

Madrid is in the midst of tremendous turmoil as they drew 2-2 this past Sunday against 19th place Espanyol and put themselves 13 points behind rival Barcelona. At this point, it is safe to say that the squad will not retain its title from last season and that Mourinho's job is in jeopardy. If Madrid were to sell Ronaldo and Mourinho, it could ensure some money to potentially buy other major players including rising Brazilian star Neymar who should head to Europe in the next few years. With coach Pep Guardiola still on the market, it is always a possibility that Madrid could try and pull him to their side.
