Arsenal broke a three game winless streak last week when they defeated West Bromwich Albion 2-0. Now they have a chance to make a major leap in the standings when they take on Reading in a Monday afternoon premier league match.

With the exception of Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich City, every other club ahead of Arsenal failed to pick up more than one point, giving the Gunners a chance to end Monday in sixth or seventh place with a victory. The team has been decent offensively with 26 goals scored in 16 matches and their defense has been solid with only 16 goals conceded. The problem is that their away record has been woeful with just two wins, four draws, and two losses in eight matches. In that span they have only scored eight goals and conceded six.

Fortunately they take on the worst team in the league. Reading has won once, lost nine, and drawn six. They have scored 19 and allowed 31 and are currently on a five game losing streak. At home they have one win, four draws, and two losses with 12 goals scored and 14 conceded.

Prediction:  If coach Arsene Wenger is serious about this team making a major turnaround then they must win this match. The team has not won two straight since September and could definitely use that boost to continue on the right path. I think they achieve it with a 3-1 win.
