In September Apple revealed the new iPhone 5s and 5c, and now it looks like the company will reveal a new generation of iPad along with a host of other goodies at a press event on Oct. 22.

For Apple's live stream of the event, which starts at 1 p.m. EST, click here. You can also watch the proceedings on the Apple TV, under the "Apple Events" channel.

The new iPad, rumored to simply be called the iPad 5, is the most buzzed about project that Apple figures to show off during their live stream of the event. The device, which will potentially come out a year after Apple first launched the iPad 4, may include several features that the company has implemented with its newer devices. The iPad 5 could have A7 64-bit processor with a Lightning connector similar to the iPhone 5, along with a fingerprint scanner like the recently launched iPhone 5s.

There is also the possibility that Apple takes time during the event to reveal other new iPads, such as thew new iPad Mini.

The company is also expected to reveal the newest Macbook Pro. The new Macbook Pro is rumored to be powered by Intel's new Haswell processor line-up, which will provide faster processing along with longer battery life.

Along with the debut of the new Macbook Pro many expect the launch of OS X Mavericks, Apple's newest operating system for Macs. The operating system will add several features that mobile users should be familiar with, such as Maps, iBooks and more. OS X Mavericks will also carry a revamped Safari web browser designed for faster Internet surfing and reduced power usage to increase battery life.

Finally, Apple may take time during this press event to showcase some new apps that will be pack-ins for all new devices. These include changes to various iWork and iLife apps that will get new features such as an iMovie Theater mode. In addition, Garageband is rumored to become a free Apple app, though several different content packages will be included in the app for purchase in the in-app store.
