The troubles and tribulations plaguing Grand Theft Auto 5's online mode have been well documented; the mode launched with huge amounts of bugs and glitches that made the mode a complete disaster. Now, Rockstar has released several patches for the game to help fix the errors, but revealed on the Rockstar Newswire comments section that the characters and ranks that disappeared due to the early bugs in the game will not be recovered:

"For those asking about their lost characters or rank, those will not be able to be restored so we sincerely hope that this cash stimulus we're giving out this month will help you get back on your feet or to make your new life in Los Santos & Blaine extra sweet."

This is big news for those who got into the game early only to have their character deleted along with their accomplishments. Rockstar has released several strategies to cut down on the possibility of losing character data, but the problem still remains. In addition, Rockstar had warned gamers in the past to avoid making a new character if they fail to connect to the game's cloud storage, as it could cause the original character to disappear permanently.

Rockstar also assured players that more patches are coming for the game to help smooth out the gameplay for Grand Theft Auto 5 online.

"For those that are still having any technical issues, as mentioned above there is a title update coming next week that will include more fixes including the vehicle loss one - and we will remain committed to continuing to fine-tune the game to address any and all issues to get GTA Online running as smooth as possible. Please remember to visit the Rockstar Support site...for the latest info or to report your problem if you don't see it there."

Rockstar also stated that the game will soon have Heists added to the online portion. However, no specific release date for the Heists update was revealed by the company.
