With Grand Theft Auto 5 suffering from a variety of issues since the launch of the online portion on Oct. 1, many users are choosing to avoid the online mode altogether, instead exploring Los Santos in the single player portion of the game. For those playing the single player version in lieu of the online mode, we bring you the top five activities in Los Santos.

5. Catch a Movie - There are several different movie theaters scattered around Los Santos, and players can spend a few bucks to catch one of the several movies that Rockstar has put in the game. These satires of different genres are hilarious (especially the French movie that pokes fun at pretentious art films) and offer a nice break from the mayhem and destruction the game's missions provide.

4. Go for a swim - For all the effort Rockstar put into the land portion of the game, the undersea scenery is some of the most interesting to explore in Grand Theft Auto 5. In addition, swimming without scuba gear increases the stamina stat for the player, and swimming underwater increases the lung capacity stat. This means that players can explore the sites offshore and improve their characters at the same time.

3. Go to the gun range - If players are having trouble hitting enemies during missions or feel as though they are spending too much for weapons and ammo, they can pay a fee and partake in various gun challenges at the gun ranges in the game. By winning medals in these events a player's shooting stat will increase and they will receive discounts at the gun store for getting medals in every event.

2. Explore Los Santos - Considering the sheer size of Grand Theft Auto 5, there is a lot of area that players can explore on foot, in a vehicle, or in the air, and there are many different secrets and collectibles scattered throughout the game. Players who spend time focused on finding the various nooks and crannies of the game will be rewarded greatly for their curiosity.

1. Cause chaos - Bored in Grand Theft Auto 5? Punch a stranger. Or steal a car and see if you can make it catch fire. Players can even steal a bus or fire truck and really cause some mayhem on the streets of Los Santos. Perhaps the best way to unwind from a heist of mission is to go about the game and see what exactly players can get away with.
