Anderlecht will try to salvage its UEFA Champions League Campaign when it takes on Malaga Tuesday.

With four points, the Belgian side is tied with Zenit St. Petersburg for third place and a chance to make the Europa round of 32. They can no longer make it to the round of 16, but a berth in the second best tournament would make it something worthwhile. Goal scoring has been the biggest issue with this team. An impressive 0-0 draw with AC Milan increased their profile, but a subsequent 3-0 loss to Malaga dropped it instantly. Zenit St. Petersburg then shut them down 1-0, but they responded with a 1-0 win of their own. Their last match however showcased their second major defensive meltdown in the tournament. They must win and hope that Milan either draws or defeats Zenit St. Petersburg. They could still clinch the spot if they lose or draw, but Zenit must lost by a larger margin also or score minimal goals in the case that both teams tie.

Malaga has all but assured the top spot in Group C after a surprisingly strong tournament. The Spanish side looked like the best Spanish side early in the tournament as they raced out to a pair of 3-0 wins. They have been slowed a bit of late as they are currently on a two game winless streak in the tournament. After defeating Milan 1-0, they drew 1-1 with the Italian side and then drew Zenit St. Petersburg 2-2. The latter match was more displeasing as Malaga had a 2-0 lead after just nine minutes of play. However two second half goals from the Russian club proved their undoing.

Prediction: Malaga will play conservatively for the draw though Anderlecht will press for the win. Ultimatley, I think these teams draw 1-1.
