Tuesday's match between Schalke 04 and Montpelier features a team still in contention to win the top spot in its group and a team that has nothing to gain whatsoever.

Schalke 04 remains the only squad in Group B to have no losses. The team started its UEFA Champions League campaign with a 2-1 win over Olympiacos but then drew 2-2 against Montpelier at home. Their fortunes were reversed when they shocked Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium 2-0 and in their subsequent bout they came back from down 2-0 to earn a point in a 2-2 draw. Their last match against Olympiacos at home was a 1-0 win that clinched a round of 16 berth for the German side. Three of the team's nine goals have come from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. With a win, Schalke 04 clinches the top spot in the group, but an Arsenal lost will also do the trick.

Montpelier will merely play their final home game of the tournament for pride. Aside from the 2-2 draw against Schalke in their second match of the tournament, the French side has done nothing but lose. They blew an early 1-0 lead to lose to Arsenal 2-1 in their opener and they lost to Olympiacos in the third and fourth matches by a combined score of 5-2. Arsenal added another 2-0 loss to eliminate them from contention completely.

Prediction: This match means more to Schalke than it does to Montpellier and the German side has been far better on the road than at home in this group stage. 3-0 Schalke 04.

Start Time: 2:45 PM EST
