AC Milan and Malaga will play a huge match on Wednesday as one of them try to take over first place and attempt to create some distance from the bottom two teams.

Both Milan and Malaga know that with four games remaining (3 after Wednesday) the group is still wide open and Zenit St. Petersburg is more than capable of making a run. With a win, Malaga can help secure a major lead in the group. They have been the cream of group C with a pair of 3-0 wins that showcased their offensive and defensive prowess. Isco was the hero in the 3-0 win at home over Zenit while Eliseu was the catalyst behind the road win against Anderlecht. Milan will prove more difficult but playing home for their fans could provide a huge boost. They have yet to lose at home this season in four tries and currently sit in 3rd place behind Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in the Spanish League.

Milan has not been all that sharp thus far in the tournament. They drew 0-0 with Anderlecht at home in a match that showcased their offensive weaknesses and then barely got past a divided Zenit squad. In fact, they only won because Zenit scored on themselves. Milan has been dreadful in the Italian league with 2 wins, 1 draw and 5 losses. They have only won once in their last five matches and have scored just 9 goals while allowing 10. If they want to make a statement, this could be a prime opportunity.

Prediction: Milan does not look ready to make a big step forward. 3-0 Malaga.

Start Time: 2:45 p.m. EDT
