Nintendo's Wii U will launch on November 18 with 23 promising launch titles.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is one of the Wii U's third party hardcore launch titles that has yet to be released on the PS3 or Xbox 360.

Recent news coverage has confirmed that the title will not run on native 1080p for the Wii U(CORRECTION). Nintendo has recently had to deal with the ire of fans for its lack of 1080p on 'New Super Mario Bros. U' and the news that 720p is the native projection on the console. The game has also been confirmed as running at 60 fps.

Activision's title will incorporate the Wii U Gamepad as a display for weapons, ammunitions, maps, objectives, and more items. According to Wii U Daily however, the developer has expressed that the title will run better on the Pro Controller. However, during local multiplayer contests, one player will utilize the Gamepad's screen rather than split the TV screen. According to the Mercury News, players can also play the main game straight off the gamepad. Players will also have the option of playing the game using the Nunchuk and Wiimote combo which has proven reliable for shooters on the Wii.

Like the other versions of the title, the Wii U iteration of Black Ops 2 will have full online multiplayer support and players will be able to track stats and ammunition on the gamepad during online play. Nintendo will also have access to the downloadable content in the title including Player HQ, Clan HQ, Zombies Support, Elite TV and Social Sharing and Notifications as part of the Call of Duty Elite DLC. There will also be four additional maps that will be released in 2013. A season pass will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 users that enable them to purchase the maps for a discounted price. The pass has not yet been announced for Nintendo's console. According to The HD Room, the deal is being worked out between Nintendo and Activision.
