Manchester City has had a tough few weeks since losing to Real Madrid in the Champions League. Last year's Premier League champs have since lost one in the Carling Cup, tied Arsenal, barely beat Fulham, and then tied Borussia Dortmund in the UCL. In their last four matches that is a record of 1 win, 1 loss, and two draws.

Now they look to turn things around in a match with lowly Sunderland who only has one win in its five Premier League matches and seven points. The squad is coming off a 1-0 win ovr Wigan and is led by dangerous striker Steven Fletcher. He will give Man City all they can handle.

Meanwhile coach Roberto Mancini must figure out how to get his team back on track. They almost lost to Dortmund in the UCL if not for a PK goal from the controversial Mario Balotelli. Balotelli and Mancini's relationship has been difficult, especially as the coach was asked about verbally attacking the striker. But the major story seems to be on Adam Johnson who was signed by Mancini but left due to no first-team opportunities. Johnson will look to take down Man City in his first return since leaving the squad.

This is a huge match for the former champions as Chelsea is four points ahead and takes on  dreadful Norwich. If they want to keep pace, a win is a necessity.

Prediction: Man City returns to form against a weak Sunderland side. 3-0.
