The ongoing saga of Apple Maps has now evolved to its own Tumblr page mocking its mistakes next to Google Maps.

Apple created Apple Maps following the decision not to continue with Google Maps, and has so far met with harsh criticism from reviewers.

Glen Gruman of InfoWorld reported that if you want to keep yourself from getting lost, "For the short term, I recommend you not use Apple Maps."

He added, "The Maps app simply isn't ready for use. And Apple knew this before it released iOS 6, as developers had complained for months during the beta-testing cycle about the app's problems."

MacStories' Federico Viticci was critical of the new Maps.

"In my opinion, iOS 6 has, right now, worse Maps and App Store search; especially for Maps, if you rely on features like Street View and public transit directions, I can't recommend the update until an official Google Maps app comes out. For everything else, iOS 6 improves on almost every aspect of the operating system, and sets the stage for a stronger platform in the future."

iOS 6 users have uploaded pictures of what appears to be mapping mistakes. The errors have since grown to its own Tumblr page titled "The Amazing iOS 6 Maps."

Many of the errors show missing parks, missing roads, discoloration, and what appears to be a melted road in Las Vegas.

Apple is aware of the criticisms and spokeswomen Trudy Muller stated, "We launched this new map service knowing that it is a major initiative and we are just getting started with it. We appreciate all of the customer feedback and are working hard to make the customer experience even better."
