Jennette McCurdy Update: Actress Skips Kids' Choice Awards Due to 'Unfair Situation' -- More Details

Ariana Grande's co-star has spoken up on why she did not show up for Nick's 2014 KCAs.

Taking the matter to Twitter, the Sam and Cat actress explained:

"A lot of you guys are asking why I didn't attend the KCAs.... I wish I could explain everything as thoroughly as I would like to, but unfortunately a simpler explanation is all I can write. I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me. I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing. I want to thank those of you who have reached out with kind words of support, McCurdians and Arianators alike. No matter who or what you support, I believe in supporting fairness first. If you have done that, thank you."

Fans of the 21-year old Nickelodeon star seem to have thought of their idol's previously leaked sexy photos which were mostly selfies showing the scantily-clad actress but she clarified that her absence had nothing to do with the whole scandal.

"My previous tweet has nothing to do with pics leaked.oh you guys lol," she said in a tweet. "It has to do with how nickelodeon treated me. That's all. Thanks for the love. <3" she added.

The actress did not spell out how the kids network specifically treated her. All that is known is that Jennette has been nominated for Favorite TV Actress at the 2014 Kids' Choice Awards. Interestingly, Sam and Cat co-star, Ariana Grande, who Jennette McCurdy has reportedly unfollowed on Twitter, was also nominated for the same award and even won.

"my loves I can't believe it thank you so much my heart is exploding #kca," Ariana tweeted. "congratulations @danwarp and Sam & Cat cast!!! thank you guys for a beautiful day we will never forget," she said in another tweet.

The 20-year old singer later tweeted, "something important that I've learned is to never apologize for a choice u make if it makes you happy. it's your life. make sure u enjoy it."
