Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is one of the most anticipated games coming to current and next gen consoles, especially due to delays to Watch Dogs and Driveclub. The game will allow players to experience the story of Edward Kenway, along with a variety of open world tasks and places to complete. The game is expected to be huge, and now Ubisoft has revealed how long players will need to complete everything in the game.

Jean-Sebastien Decant, the lead game designer for the game is quoted by OPM as saying that the game will take a sizeable chunk of time to get through both the campaign of the game and the various side quests in the game:

"We have so much content it's quite crazy to say it...The main story is at least 20 hours. In the open world you have stuff to do for at least 50 or 60 hours. We really tried to increase the feeling of adventure. At the same time it has to be easy to use so we added a number of teleports, in fact every [objective] you do becomes a teleport. So as you soon as you win somewhere, you can send people there."

This makes Assassin's Creed 4 one of the bigger games that will be available this fall. Though considering that the game allows users to explore the Caribbean and the various islands found within it, this is hardly a surprise. Players will be able to explore islands both real (such as Cuba and the Bahamas) as well as unmarked, unnamed islands that players can stumble upon and find out what secrets are found on them.

The side quests in the game include hunting whales, even though PETA has frowned upon this historically accurate addition to Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. Players can also find smuggler caves that they can maneuver through stealthily so that they can grab extra treasure to upgrade their ship. In addition to smuggler caves, sunken ships can be explored for additional wealth. Players can try to find all the vantage points in the game, which will reveal more of the map as well as enabling users to fast travel to those islands.

Considering that the launch lineup for the next gen consoles has lost some luster due to delays to different game and the general dearth in titles being released after a console's launch, having all this content in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag should be comforting to those who may have be concerned about the launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
