Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will take players all across the Caribbean, and Ubisoft has given fans awaiting the game several glimpses into both the land and sea aspects of the game. Now, Ubisoft has released a brand new video showing off various activities players can do while they are exploring the ocean and the islands found in the game.

The video is narrated by Ubisoft's own Ashraf Ismail, who revealed that Assassin's Creed 4 will have 50 major locations to explore as well as 75 uncharted islands to find. The demo starts off on a pirate friendly island, which has a tavern located in a village. Taverns will be important hubs in the game, as they are place that users can hire crew, find out information about valuable cargo, play minigames, and also buy a drink if they want. However, some taverns will not instantly accessible, as players will have to prove their worth to get in. In the demo, the player must fight off several thugs with their fists in order to get in, leading to the usual Assassin's Creed fighting mechanics, including counter attacks leading to vicious knockout blows. Viewpoint locations return in the game, and by unlocking them users can use them to fast travel to that location once they are climbed and conquered. Viewpoint locations also make it so users will be collectibles on the mini map.

Next, the video takes us to a sunken ship, which players can explore once they purchase a diving bell. Using the diving bell to trap an air pocket underwater, players can find underwater gold and treasure, but must make sure they do not run out of air or attacked by predators. Players can use stealth to avoid sharks and other dangers, much like they can on land. Players can also access smuggler caves from under the water; however they will not have the usual tools that they would have for combat. Players will have to rely more on stealth to make it through these portions of the game. At least players can steal weapons from fallen enemies for use during these segments.

However, pirating and stealing attracts unwanted attention, and users can build up enough of a reputation to attract pirate hunters after them. Bringing to meter to full strength causes a whole fleet to come after your ship. The harpooning minigame is also shown, with players having to hit the moving target as it drags them across the ocean.

Assassin's Creed 4 continues to impress, and should be one every gamers radar when it launches on October 29 for current gen consoles and in November as a launch title for next gen consoles.
