When Sony mentioned in passing during its Gamescom 2013 press conference that developer Naughty Dog was working on a next-gen title for the company, many began hoping the company would soon announce it was working on a new entry in the Uncharted series. Now, a potential new hint indicates the company is indeed working on bringing Uncharted 4 to fans: a German product page for retailer Gamestop recently listed the game on its website.

The page did not give many details about the game, so this may be a error on the company's part, but it is hard to believe that Naughty Dog and Sony would not be preparing the game and continuing the series' earlier success. After all, it would be a big feather in the PlayStation 4's hat if the company can boast bringing the critically and commercially successful game back for the new console, especially considering the Xbox One will have a new Halo title sometime in 2014 among other big exclusives.

This is not the first hint that Uncharted 4 could be in the works. An earlier indication came from "Lost" and "Lord of the Rings" actor Dominic Monaghan, of all people, who casually mentioned the game in an interview with Gamestop to promote the XCOM: Enemy Unknown live action series he will be starring in.

"I'll always stay focused on the gaming world and see what's coming up...The new Uncharted I'm really excited to see how that's going to be and obviously both new gaming systems," said Monaghan.

There are very few details about what to expect from Uncharted 4, but then, Naughty Dog hasn't even confirmed if it's working on the project. Currently, the company is following through with its most recent release, the smash hit The Last of Us, which was released in June. The game still has DLC in the works, so Naughty Dog is most likely focused on finishing that game and than gearing up for Uncharted 4. In addition, Naughty Dog might decide to go with the hot hand and make a sequel to the game on the PlayStation 4 instead of bringing back Uncharted 4.

Look out for more news concerning Uncharted 4, Naughty Dog and the PlayStation 4 right here as the PlayStation 4 approaches its Nov. 15 release date and Naughty Dog's unknown project continues to take shape.
