Real Madrid's climb back to the top of the Spanish League continues as Cristiano Ronaldo and company take on a quietly surprising Real Valladolid side.

Coach Jose Mourinho got his team back on track last weekend when the team defeated cross-town rival Atletico Madrid 2-0. They followed that effort with a tremendous 4-1 destruction of Ajax Amsterdam to cement a solid Group of Death campaign in the UEFA Champions League. But the squad still remains 11 points behind rival Barcelona for the lead in the Spanish League. They have the second best offense in the league and arguably the best defense as they have only allowed 10 goals in 14 matches. Ronaldo leads the team with 13 goals and must start to put together some more consistent performances to lead his team back into contention with Barcelona.

Real Valladolid has won two straight and sits four points behind fourth place Real Betis and eight behind Madrid. The team may not possess the top offense or defense in the league, but they have put together a solid record of six wins, three draws, and five losses. They have only lost once at home and could prove a major test for Real Madrid.

Prediction: Mourinho and company are ready for a long stretch of wins. Make this one a hard earned 2-0 win.
