As Black Friday rears its head this week, electronic gadgets will surely be on the shopping lists of many.

Currently, outside of the iPhone and iPad series, another catch will be the iPod series. Apple recently launched the iPod Touch Fifth Generation (5G), which resembles the iPhone 5 without the phone calls. On the other hand, there is the iPod Nano that experienced a redesign.

So which iPod is better for your buck?

An important factor is the price. The price for the iPods differs on the internal storage options. The iPod Touch 5G offers 32GB and 64GB with a starting price of $299 and $399, respectively. The iPod Nano is only available in the 16GB model for $149.

When it comes to size, the Nano lives up to its name. The iPod Nano has a length of 3.01-inches, width of 1.56, and depth of 0.21-inches. The iPod Touch 5G's length is 4.86-inches, 2.31-inches for the width, and 0.24-inches in depth.

The iPod Touch 5G weighs 3.10 ounces compared to the Nano's 1.1-ounces.

For the display, the iPod Touch 5G follows the iPhone 5 with a four-inch screen with Retina Display, while the iPod Nano has 2.5-inches of Multi-Touch Display.

The battery life for the iPod Nano includes up to 30 hours in audio playback and 3.5 hours for video playback. The hours are better for the iPod Touch 5G with up to 40 hours for audio and eight for the video. The charge time does take at least four hours for the iPod Touch 5G, that's one hour more to the iPod Nano's three-hour charge time.

A major difference is the camera. The iPod Touch 5G has a five-megapixel iSight camera with 1080p HD video recording, Siri, FaceTime, and iMessage, among a few new features.

The iPad Nano does offer more color options than the iPod Touch 5G. The iPod Nano offers black, blue, green, gray, pink, purple, and yellow. The iPod Touch offers the same except green and purple.

The two devices does come with Apple's latest EarPods and Lightning to USB cable.
