Sony has already announced the 20 playable characters on Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. However, rumors continue circulating about the possibility of other characters showing up on the title.

The character with the most rumors flying around is Crash Bandicoot. Activision's mascot made his debut on the Sony Playstation and made a few appearances there after on the Sony systems. Activision eventually put him on multiple platforms before he eventually faded out due to a lagging popularity. His original games were known for being 3D platformers. Crash eventually came up with a plethora of party games including Crash Team Racing.

The reason for fans wanting him in the brawler is because some of the current lineup features long lost Sony mascots such as Parappa and Spike from Ape Escape. A few months ago images surfaced showing Crash in the middle of the scrum of Playstation All-Stars. Though no one confirmed the legitimacy of the image, it certainly riled up the bases.

The Examiner recently published an article in which they game designer Omar Kendall about the possibility of Crash and other characters such as Snake, Cloud, and Wander making appearances in the title. Kendall responded that the 20 characters currently announced are the only ones on the disc. However, he did not leave out the possibility of them being available for download in the future.

The Examiner writes:

"I should point out that my friend asked him regarding Crash Bandicoot and Activision and he said, "We are still working on it."

The game is slated for a November 20 release on both the PS 3 and PS Vita. Anyone who purchases the PS3 version will also receive a free download voucher for the Vita Version. Initial reviews for the Beta version have been mixed with complaints revolving around not being able to easily identify players' characters and balance issues between the characters.
