The creators of "Sherlock" are reportedly finding it hard to pin down the famous actor due to busy schedule, says Metro.

Speaking with the outlet, Mark Gatiss, co-creator of the BBC detective drama, remarked, "Everyone wants to carry on doing Sherlock. It's a simple matter of schedules - particularly Benedict and Martin. They've become superstars, which is brilliant, but we all want to carry on as long as we can."

Benedict Cumberbatch has been cast as Richard III in the Shakespearean series of plays entitled "The Hollow Crown" for BBC Two, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The adaptation reportedly included Richard II and Henry V, with a two-part production for Henry VI also in the works, notes the outlet.

Richard III will be directed by Dominic Cooke, someone that the "Sherlock" actor is quite excited to work with. "I can't wait to work with Dominic Cooke again to bring this complex, funny and dangerous character to life for the BBC and Neal Street Production's peerless series of Shakespeare's History plays," he said in the THR report.

The Shakespearean play is not the only project that Cumberbatch has in line. The Hollywood Reporter adds that the actor has also been cast as the title character in "Hamlet." The stage play will reportedly be directed by Lindsey Turner and has been scheduled for August 2014 in London, says the outlet.

The actor has spoken about "Sherlock" and a possible Season 4 for the BBC hit series, as reported by RadioTimes. Speaking with BBC's Suzi Perry after interviewing racer Lewis Hamilton himself at the Malaysian Grand Prix late March, the actor gave quite an intriguing statement regarding "Sherlock."

"It would be remiss if I didn't ask about Sherlock. I presume there'll be another one hopefully going to happen?" Perry asked the actor.

"You work for the corporation, ask them," Cumberbatch responded.

The network has not yet officially announced a date for the detective drama.
