Rafael Nadal said that indoor matches proved to be the most difficult for him, the world's top tennis player saying he never faired well in this particular type of playing environment.

During a post-game interview following his second-round victory over Marcel Granollers, the 27-year old Nadal was vocal again in expressing his inconvenience on playing in indoor tennis tournaments like the Paris Masters and the WTA Tour Finals.

"I never like it a lot, playing in indoor, but that doesn't mean that I cannot play well," Nadal told the press via Tennis X.

"If I am able to find the right feelings, seriously, I am not scared about playing indoors. It is a surface that I can play well. But it's true that probably arrive to this positive feelings is a bit more difficult than in other circumstances. That's the only thing," he added.

Despite winning 60 ATP Tournaments, Nadal hasn't found much success in playing indoors throughout his career. In fact, the Mallorcan Bull only captured two indoor tourney titles: the first one at the 2005 Madrid Open and the second this year in Brazil.

However, Nadal insisted that he can still play pretty well on this kind of playing condition. The Spaniard added that he tends to win matches despite not playing his best on the court.

"Is very important win matches when you are not playing well," Nadal added. "I am probably one of these players that I won more matches in my career without playing well, and that's why I had the chance to be probably to where I am today."

Meanwhile, Nadal talked about his perception on last year's Paris Masters runner-up Jerzy Janowicz, whom he defeated in last Thursday's third round clash.

Nadal believed the lanky Polish has a great shot at cracking the Top 10 ranking next year, if he continues to play great tennis.

"He's one of the players that should be in the top in the next years," Nadal said of Janowicz. "His serve is unbelievable. He plays well from the baseline. His movements are very good for big‑‑ you know, talking about his tall. He's very tall. I know he has a lot of positive things that to play well and to be candidate of win the best tournaments of the world."
