The Nokia Lumia 1020 launch event has arrived in India, and a release date has been set.
As Latinos Post reported, Nokia India sent press invitations for the debut of the Lumia 1020 set in New Delhi. The event date was set for Sept. 26, and the date did in fact deliver the 41-megapixel Windows Phone 8 camera phone.

"The response to the Nokia Lumia range in India has been extremely encouraging," said Nokia India Managing Director P. Balaji. "The Nokia Lumia 1020 is a stunning device with imaging capabilities like no other smartphone. We believe it will further strengthen Nokia's leadership in imaging, which today plays a pivotal role in the lives of consumers."
The price for the Lumia 1020, however, was not released. According to PhonesReview, Nokia India will announce the 41-megapixel Lumia 1020's price on Oct. 10.
The Lumia 1020 will be available in stores, one day later, starting Oct. 11.

The Lumia 1020's features include a 4.5-inch screen with 1,280x768 pixels covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The new Windows Phone 8 device has 32GB of internal storage for 2GB of RAM. The device includes a rear-facing camera with a 41-megapixel sensor and front-facing camera with 1.2 megapixels. The smartphone also packs a 2,000mAh battery.
In the U.S., the Lumia 1020 is exclusive to mobile carrier AT&T for $199.99 as of early September when upgrading or signing a two-year contract. The Lumia 1020 originally launched for $299.99 on July 26.
