If you are one of the many who are still hesitant to quit smoking, then this ad might just convince you to stop.

The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control might have finally found the trick to get people to stop smoking. This anti-smoking video ad featuring throat cancer posted on their Youtube account has reached over 2.5 million people from around the world, urging them to quit the bad habit.

According to USA Today, an estimated 1.6 million Americans tried to quit smoking because of the round of video ads posted by the CDC. Approximately 100,000 of those who attempted to quit were successful in their effort to finally quit smoking.

The CDC initially launched the "Tips from Former Smokers" ad campaign in March 2012. To date, they have posted a total of 36 videos under the campaign. Though most of the videos were in English, some were also in Spanish. View the entire "Tips from Former Smokers" playlist HERE.
