Instagram has been flooded with photos of pets giving in to vanity with #petselfiez. They might not be capable of taking snap shots of themselves by their forelegs, but that doesn't stop them from updating friends and fans on their daily whereabouts. With the help of their ever dependable guardians, these dogs and cats have indeed joined the selfie bandwagon.

In case you still don't know what a selfie is, the Oxford Dictionary defines it as "a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website." Let's see: photographs, check; photo of oneself, check, taken with a smartphone or webcam, check; uploaded to a social media website, check! The only criteria not fulfilled in the definition would be that the picture-taker is oneself! But we're sure everyone's letting these cats and dogs get away with it.
