The reveal date for the upcoming Sony smartphone, the Xperia Z1 (also called the i1 Honami) is expected to be revealed Wednesday, Sept. 4 before the beginning of IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany. Various leaks of photos of the device point to Sept. 4 as the day of the device's unveiling, and in honor of that we bring you all the specs, price, and other information that has been rumored for the new handset.

The star feature of the device will be the massive camera. The camera on the Xperia Z1 is a 20.7 megapixel camera with a G Lens, f/2.0 aperture and 5 mm focal length, giving it the power and clarity to rival most smartphone cameras. The display will be a 5-inch Full HD model, so users can really appreciate their pictures and videos. In addition, Sony is releasing two new lenses for smartphone cameras, the DSC-QX10 and the DSC-QX100, that can snap onto the device via magnets to give the photographer even more options when they use the Xperia Z1/Honami. The smartphone is also rumored to have 4K video and photo support, meaning the Z1/Honami may be capable of generating content in Ultra high definition.

As for the other specs, the device will have a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM, putting it at near the top of the line when it comes to hardware. Users will have 16GB of internal memory, and the device will support MicroSD support for boosting that memory further. As for the operating system for the Z1/Honami, it is rumored that the device will run on Android 4.2. The device has been seen in leaked photos as coming in black, white and purple.

The price of the Z1/Honami has not been discussed in great detail, but considering the device will have some solid hardware, a high-end camera, and potential 4K support, the smartphone may have a hefty price tag attached. Perhaps the price will be lowered if users buy the smartphone and commit to a subscription plan from a provider such as Verizon, Sprint or T-Mobile.
