It looks as though a new leak has confirmed that one of the features rumored for the upcoming i1 Honami from Sony is indeed real, as a new screenshot reveals that the device will have a 20.7 megapixel camera available for users.

This news comes from the Xperia Blog (via RBMen), which shows a photo taken from a Picasa account. The photo shows a model of the HSPA+ version of the smartphone, as seen by the model number C6902. The original raw sample is not available for download, but luckily the EXIF data from the picture reveals a number of specs for the device, including the amount of pixels the camera will have. The specs show the camera having 5248 x 3936 pixels, which equates to 20.66 megapixels. In addition, the photo lists an f/2.0 aperture and 5mm focal length for the camera, which would confirm past spec rumors about the device. The camera of the i1 Honami has been one of the big features of the device, and it looks as though Sony has indeed followed through on the rumors and given future users a mighty camera to play around with.

Other big specs seen in the leak include the firmware that will run the device. It appears that the Honami will use firmware version 14.1.G.1.443_9_b600. The photo comes from Taylor Li, who is a senior manager at Sony Ericsson Taiwan, based on the information provided by his Linkedin profile. Obviously, somebody in that high of a position would be able to get his hands on a prototype i1 Honami, so this leaks looks to be legitimate.

The Sony i1 Honami is one of the most intriguing devices that is part of the Sony Xperia line. A previous leak revealed that Sony may be getting ready to reveal the device on Sept. 4 in Berlin, Germany. In addition to the 20 megapixel camera, the Cybershot Camera App is rumored to be returning with the i1 Honami, which would give users the chance to modify and change their photos similar to the popular app Instagram. While the hardware within the i1 Honami has not been revealed, it is rumored that the device will have a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU with 2GB RAM. A five inch full HD display is expected for the device, and the i1 Honami will operate on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Look out for more Sony Xperia i1 Honami news as we get closer to Sept. 4.
