If the device that just went through the review process by the FCC is truly the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, as all indications seem to confirm, then the device will be headed to AT&T with LTE soon.

WiFi only models of the South Korean tech giant's new successor to the Galaxy Tab 2 have already made their way past the Federal Communications Commission, and the most recent device appears to match the 7-inch model of the Galaxy Tab 3. As Engadget spotted, the new device, model number SM-T217A, measures 186 x 110 millimeters, matching quite will with the WiFi-only 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 that previously was cleared by the FCC in May.

From the specifications given in the FCC's files, the presumed 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 will work with AT&T's advanced LTE network, along bands 2, 4, 5, and 17. Also, it appears to work with the older 3G GSM network over the 850/1900 MHZ bands. And, of course, it will have WiFi connectivity, along with Bluetooth low energy.

Samsung announced in late June that the new lineup of Galaxy Tab 3 slates would be going on sale in July. The lineup includes the aforementioned 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3, as well as the 10.1-inch and 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3, which Samsung unveiled later. The three Galaxy Tab 3 models began selling at retailers like Best Buy, Fry's, Amazon, and Wal-Mart starting July 7.

The 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 has a display with 1024 x 600p resolution, running on a dual core 1.2 GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB internal storage, but can be expanded with microSD. The 7-inch model comes at a pretty affordable price point of $199, at least in retail stores.

AT&T and Samsung have not confirmed that the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 is on its way to the wireless provider, so take the rumor with a grain of salt. And stay with us for more information, as it becomes available.
