The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is about to get a 1-inch bigger counterpart.

According to a new report, Samsung will launch an 8-inch version of the current 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 tablet. SamMobile noted the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will have a thinner bezel and more level sensors.

As for a launch, the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 can be expected by the end of June.

Additional features of the 8-inch tablet include 1,280x800 pixel display with 4,450mAh battery capacity. The memory of the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 incorporates a 16GB internal storage model with a microSD card slot for an additional 64GB.

As for camera specifications, the rear-facing camera has 5 megapixels while the front-facing camera has 1.3 megapixels. The front-facing camera's megapixels are the same as the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 but the rear-facing camera on the 8-inch tablet is 2 megapixels higher than the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0.

The mobile platform in the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is reportedly Android version 4.2.2, still under the Jelly Bean brand.

Finally, the wireless connectivity for the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, USB version 2.0, and Bluetooth version 4.0.

Samsung has not officially confirmed the 8-inch tablet yet, although the 3G version of the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has been confirmed for a June release date.
