Great Britain's Chris Froome is two stages away from making history at the 2013 Tour de France.

After 77 hours and 10 minutes of adrenaline-draining race, Froome is on the verge of repeating the accomplishment of his Team Sky teammate Bradley Wiggins, who gave Great Britain its first Tour de France victory last year.

After his breakthrough victory in Gap, Portugal's Rui Costa conquered another mountainous stage, but this time, he needed to overcome the grueling test of the two huge mountains in the early part of race before grinding out three more climbs towards the end of the Le Bourg-d'Oisans to Le Grand-Bornand stage.

Nothing changed in the general classification standings with Froome still preserving a five-minute and 11 second lead over Alberto Contador of Team Saxo-Tinkoff while Columbian climber Nairo Quintana remains in third place.

Stage 20 - Annecy to Mont Semnoz, 125 km (77.7 mi)

The Annency to Mont Semnoz stage will be the final mountainous challenge for the riders before a mad dash towards Paris on Sunday. Like the previous stages, Stage 20 will feature another series of climbs and downhill sprints with another mountain finish waiting ahead. For the general classification leaders, vigilance and consciousness are a must for them to avoid freaky accidents that could deal a blow on their current positions.

Meanwhile, the stage also provided one last chance for the mountain attackers to shine with Costa, Quintana, and Christophe Riblon all looking for one big splash before the end of this amazing edition of the Tour de France.
