Wednesday, August 7, there will be a special event in New York to launch the LG G2, LG's newest flagship. Ahead of that event, a new photo has leaked showing the purported device, which we'll all see in the flesh tomorrow.

This new photo comes from a parts trading website called ETrade Supply and shows the device's screen, body and a few other details, such as the bezel (but no clear back or side views are available). It indicates that the LG G2 will have rounded corners as well as a thin top, and a very thin side bezel. However there's no way to tell what the dimensions of the new phone are from the leaked photos, which are available via PhoneArena.

Of course, by now, we have a pretty good idea of what the specs may be from rumors which have been around for a while. The LG G2 is rumored to have a quad-core Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.3GHz, assisted by 2GB of RAM. The device is expected to have a 13-megapixel shooter on the back, but it's not known what the front-facing camera will be (though it looks like there will be one, from the open slot for a lens in one of the leaked photos).

Other specs include a 5.2-inch "one-glass" display, an ultra slim panel that may be the world's thinnest, that is expected to be running a full high definition resolution of 1920 x 1080p. The LG G2 will likely have a microSD storage expansion, and internal storage of something between 8GB and 16GB, minimum. Also, Engadget reports that there will not be a fingerprint reader to challenge the upcoming iPhone, but there will be an iPhone-like nano-SIM slot. The whole device is expected to be powered by a removable 2,610 mAh battery.

The LG G2 is going to be launched Wednesday August 7. You can livestream it here at about 11 am EDT. That's when we'll get confirmation on all of these rumored specs, so stay tuned until then. Also, rumors have it that the LG G2 will be available for purchase in South Korea right after the launch - that is, its release date is the same as its launch date. But again, we'll have to wait until the event to find out. Here's LG's stat-heavy promo for the LG G2 event.
