The LG G2 is imminently on its way to the U.S. market, according to a new leak, which purportedly comes from one of LG's top executives.

The Korean site The Kyunghyang Shinmum has purportedly gotten a direct quote from the South Korean electronics manufacturer's CFO, David Jung, which puts the release of the LG Optimus G's successor, the LG G2 (LG Electronics has nixed the "Optimus" from now on) within September for the United States. South Korea will get the new mobile device a little earlier, in August, and Europe will have to wait until October.

Additionally, the same site reported that another LG Electronics executive has named Verizon as a carrier for the U.S. release of the LG G2. Already, according to review processes spotted by Engadget at the Federal Communications Commission, the LG G2 is going to both AT&T and T-Mobile. In a previous leak, showing off the G2's face and some of its specs, the device in the leak was supposedly a Sprint variant, meaning Big Yellow is joining the release party as well, though Sprint and none of the other carriers have confirmed that fact.

The LG G2, previously called the Optimus G2, is the next big thing from LG Electronics. Its rumored specs include a 5.2-inch display, which is a half-inch larger than the previous phone. That screen will purportedly run at full 1080p High Definition, and it looks to have close to no side bezel, making for a gorgeous appearance. If rumors are true, the device will be running a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 with 2GB of RAM. And, at least in the leaked model, the device ran Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, though with the recent release of Android 4.3, it would make sense for a new flagship phone to run the newer operating system.

These are all still leaks and rumors, so we will have to wait and see what is confirmed and what isn't in the coming weeks. Stay with Latinos Post for more updates on the LG G2 and other upcoming devices.
