Hurricane Leslie Path 2012: Leslie Quickly Makes its Way Out of Newfoundland, Storm Leaves Minor Destruction in its Wake (MAP)

The Canadian Weather Centre (CWC) has announced that while Tropical Storm Leslie has been downgraded to post-Tropical Storm Leslie, it has packed quite a wallop in Newfoundland and parts of Nova Scotia, and is expected to leave the area by later on in the day on Tuesday.

The latest updates from the National Hurricane Center show Leslie is quickly travelling across Newfoundland, Michael is weakening and a new pressure system in the Atlantic may become a tropical storm by the end of today.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has announced that as of 1:45pm AST on Wednesday, Tropical Cyclone Leslie has been upgraded to a hurricane, the sixth hurricane of the season which lasts from June 1st through November.

The NHC announced that a low pressure system has a 20 percent chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.
