New Jersey Supreme Court Mandates Police To Receive Warrants For Cellphone Tracking

In a unanimous ruling on Thursday, the New Jersey Supreme Court decided that police must get a warrant if they want to track a suspect using cellphone data which grants NJ citizens more privacy protections than under federal law.

It's Official - You Can't Unlock Your Smartphones Legally In The US Starting Today

It's official. You can't unlock your smartphones anymore in the United States - at least not legally. In what is already brewing as a controversial decision, the Library of Congress ' Register of Copyrights passed a law stating that it is against the law to unlock a smartphone without a carrier's permission.
