Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Juan Martin del Potro will all be in action on Thursday for Round 2 of the Australian Open. Serena Williams will have a busy day, as she will compete in both singles and doubles.

Federer will play Nikolay Davydenko at Rod Laver Arena in the fourth match of the day there. Federer topped Benoit Paire 6-2, 6-4, 6-1 on Tuesday to earn his second round berth. The Swiss player is a four-time Australian Open winner, with his last victory there in 2010 over Andy Murray.

Murray bested Robin Haase on Monday, 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 to set up his round two date with Joao Sousa of Portugal on Thursday. In addition to his 2010 Australian Open championship round appearance, Murray also made it to the final round the following year, losing to current #1 player Novak Djokovic. Murray lost in the doubles competition on Wednesday alongside countryman Colin Fleming. The pair lost to Michael Kohlmann of Germany and Jarkko Nieminen of Finland in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5.

del Potro will take on German Benjamin Becker in his round two match. In the opening round, Del Potro defeated Adrian Mannarino 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 on Tuesday. del Potro reached the quarterfinals in last season's Australian Open, but lost to Federer. He also made it that far in 2008 and fell to the same opponent. His only Grand Slam title came in the 2009 U.S. Open over Federer.

Williams beat Romanian Edina Gallovits 6-0, 6-0 on Tuesday to enter her next singles match against Garbine Muguruza Blanco of Spain. Williams has five Australian Open Titles, most recently in 2010.

Williams and her sister Venus will face Camila Girogi of Italy and Stefanie Voegele of Switzerland in the first round of doubles. The Williams sisters have won 13 Grand Slam Titles together, including the 2001, 2003, 2009 and 2010 Australian Opens. When reaching the final match, the sisters are undefeated. Serena Williams has won both the doubles and singles competitions at the Australian Open three times, including each of her last two winning years there.
