In the first episode back for FOX's sophomore comedy series 'New Girl' since the mid-season hiatus, "Cabin," Jess (Zooey Deschanel) invites Nick (Jake Johnson) and his new "girlfriend" Angie (guest star Olivia Munn) to join her and her new boyfriend Sam (guest star David Walton) during a weekend getaway.
The foursome has a good time relaxing and getting drunk on absinthe until things get a little too much for fun-loving Angie. While Nick heads upstairs to make sure Jess is okay, Angie takes the opportunity to hit on a very drunk Sam, who, despite his playboy past, adamantly states he's with Jess. The incident brings a shaky Jess and Sam closer together, but ultimately causes Angie to skip out on Nick the following morning.
Back at Jess and Nick's apartment, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) attempts to make Winston (Lamorne Morris) feel more in tune with his black identity, leading to a dangerous yet hilarious cocaine buying fiasco.
In the upcoming episode, "A Father's Love," Nick's dad (guest star Dennis Farina) comes to visit Nick. He manages to convince his son and Jess to help him sell a racehorse. Meanwhile, Schmidt reconnects with Cece's (Hannah Simone) old boyfriend Robbie (guest star Nelson Franklin).
'New Girl' S2E13, "A Father's Love," airs on Tuesday, January 15 at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
