Telltale's beautifully crafted first season of the Walking Dead game was just the beginning. While Lee and Clementine's journey concluded on a rather somber note, the series' unsympathetic fictional world continues to push forward, and the developer is hard at work on the next season of the best-selling episodic release.

On IGN's 'Playing Dead' feature, host AJ Locascio spoke with Cinematic Artist Sean Ainsworth, Graphic Designer Jake Rodkin, and Designer Sean Vanaman about the future of the franchise. In response to a question asking which elements of Season One they would like to add to Season Two, Vanaman responded: "Within the first half of the season there was a lot of really small tactile interaction. Taking your handcuffs off, especially stuff in St. John's dairy. There were things that felt more tiny and in the details and I'd like to bring some of that stuff back."

He continues, "As soon the idea of getting off the mainland is off the table and especially once Clementine goes missing the scope gets bigger, so we kind of got away from...picking up fine little things."

The series, which is available on PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, and iOS has sold 8.5 million episodes to date, TellTale Games CEO Dan Connors told The Wall Street Journal.

"November and December were our biggest months. It was the culmination of the product, the game of the year awards, the retail push, and it still has a ton of head room in it. Apple has featured us a bunch of times for each of the episodes, and it's in Apple's Hall of Fame," says Connors.

The Walking Dead earned over sixty Game of the Year awards and has seen a tremendous outpouring of support from fans affected by the emotional storyline.
