Three smartphones are trying to dominant the smartphone market, and although there are more brands out there, we'll focus on Apple, Google, and Samsung's latest smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy S3, Apple's iPhone 5, and Google's Nexus 4 have all debuted between May and October 2012, now what they do have to offer?

Frame Size and Weight

Galaxy S3: Length - 5.38-inches; Width - 2.78-inches; Depth - 0.34-inches; Weight - 4.69-ounces.

iPhone 5: Length - 4.87-inches; Width - 2.31-inches; Depth - 0.30-inches; Weight - 3.95-ounces.

Nexus 4: Length - 5.27-inches; Width - 2.70-inches; Depth - 0.36-inches; Weight - 4.90-ounces.

Display Size:

Galaxy S3: Screen size of 4.8-inches with 1,280x720 pixel resolution and 306 pixels per inch (ppi).

iPhone 5: Screen size of four-inches with 1,136x640 pixel resolution and 326 pixels per inch (ppi).

Nexus 4: Screen size of 4.7-inches with 1,280x768 pixel resolution and 318 pixels per inch (ppi).

Internal Storage and Memory:

Galaxy S3: 16GB, 32GB, 64GB of internal storage with 1GB of RAM; microSD card slot available for up to 64GB.

iPhone 5:16GB, 32GB, 64GB of internal storage with 1GB of RAM; microSD card slot is not available.

Nexus 4: 8GB and 16GB with 2GB of RAM; no microSD card slot.

Galaxy S3: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth version 4.0, Near Field Communication (NFC), and micro USB version 2.0

Camera:

Galaxy S3: Rear-facing camera with eight-megapixels with 3,264x2,448 pixels and 1.9-megapixels for the front-facing camera. Rear-facing video has 1080p at 30 frames per second (fps) while the front-facing camera has 720p at 30 fps.

iPhone 5: Rear-facing camera with eight-megapixels with 3,264x2,448 pixels and 1.2-megapixels for the front-facing camera. Rear-facing video has 1080p at 30 fps while the front-facing camera has 720p at 30 fps.

Nexus 4: Rear-facing camera with eight-megapixels with 3,264x2,448 pixels and 1.3-megapixels for the front-facing camera. Rear-facing video has 1080p at 30 fps.

Operating System:

Galaxy S3: Android version 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), but is upgradeable to the version 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).

iPhone 5: Apple iOS 6.

Nexus 4: Android version 4.2 (Jelly Bean), and is upgradable to the version 4.2.1 (also Jelly Bean).

Galaxy S3: 2,100 mAh battery capacity.

iPhone 5: 1,440 mAh battery capacity.
