Nokia will likely announced the launch dates of the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 at a standalone press conference in Mumbai on January 10, according to a Tech 2 report. Both smartphones were previously rumored to release on January 15, which lines up comfortably with the timing of the event.

As for pricing, Tech 2 estimates that the 920 will be tagged in the range of Rs 38,000 and 40,000, meanwhile the 820 will sit between Rs 25,000 and 28,000. Using the handset's costs in Singapore, the site accounted for potential tax factors in its conversions. Please note that these are not official prices, but consumers won't have to wait long for more concrete details.

The Nokia Lumia 920 features a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM, a 4.5-inch screen, complimented by both an 8.7-megapixel camera and a 'PureView' Camera. The Lumia 820 sports a slightly smaller 4.3-inch display, but shares an identical processor. With an 8-megapixel camera and 1GB RAM, the flagship's little brother is directed towards more budget-conscious users.

Nokia's Lumia 920 fared well in the review circuit, gathering praise for its sleek design and innovative charging techniques. However, the phone has been criticized for its lackluster app ecosystem and battery life.

"Lumia 920's hardware and design is top-notch, the  screen is lovely, and the camera is a marvel in low light - but you can't ignore just how big and bulky the phone is," writes The Verge. "The software and hardware tradeoffs inherent in the Lumia 920 could be worth it if you've bought into the Microsoft ecosystem, but for most people I don't think it's a sure bet."

CNET suggests that "there is no one broken, terrible, or unfinished feature to push you away, and innovations like Wi-Fi charging and gloved use are unique draws that no other competitor can offer."
