This year Telemundo has teamed with up their parent network NBC for "LA VOZ Kids." The show is a spin off on NBC's Global hit "The Voice."

Telemundo has put a spin on the singing compeititon, as it will only be auditioning kids between the ages of seven and 14. "La Voz Kids" will start with the blind auditions followed by the battle rounds and the live shows. The country's best young vocalists will try to impress three of Latin America's top recording artists who will be featured as coaches. Their names ahve yet to be revealed.  The winner of "La Voz Kids" will receive a recording contract with Universal Music and a scholarship.

Auditions will be held throughout the month of January and have already taken place in Miami and Houston. Remaining auditions will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, San Antonio, New York and Phoenix.

The coaches and host for the show have not yet been announced. Contestants must be bilingual (Spanish and English), and must be citizens or legal residents of the United States. La Voz is slated to air on Telemundo in the spring with John de Mol, Stijn Bakkers and Katrina Fernandez as Executive producers.
