The Houston Texans are moving on to play New England next week in the Division Series, while the Cincinnati Bangels' season has come to an end, the Texans having beaten them 19-13 on Saturday.
And while Minnesota and Green Bay still have yet to play their game, that's only the first half of NFL Wild Card Weekend as the Road to Super Bowl XLVII continues on Sunday.
Washington Redskins (10-6) vs. Seattle Seahawks (11-5), 4:30 p.m., FedEx Field in Landover, Md.
Robert Griffin, III, has had a phenomenal rookie year. In his first season, RG3 turned around the struggling Washington Redskins with his "do-it-all" play that recorded a staggering 3,200 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Now, he can lead the NFC East Champion Redskins on the march to their first Super Bowl title since 1992 when Griffin and the Redskins face rookie star quarterback Russell Wilson, the dangerous Marshawn Lynch and the Seattle Seahawks.
Offense
Griffin has been as dominant as any quarterback in the league this season. He can run (815 yards on 120 carries for seven touchdowns) he can pass, he can do pretty much everything.
Backed by steady receivers such as Pierre Garcon, who has 633 yards on 44 receptions this season, and veteran Santana Moss, with 573 yards on 41 receptions with eight touchdown catches, Griffin has solid targets to aim for.
And then there's running back Alfred Morris. With 1,613 yards on 335 carries and 13 touchdowns this season, with an average of 4.8 yards per carry, he can pound a team up the middle.
Wilson, though, has put up strong quarterback numbers of his own, posting a 100.0 quarterback rating after recording 3,118 yards and 26 touchdowns. He did throw for 10 interceptions, though, so he can be gotten to with the right pressure from defense.
Wide receivers Sidney Rice and Golden Tate will have to have big games in order for Seattle to get out of the gate. Both scored seven touchdowns apiece this season, but if Rice, who had more yards with 748 of them this season, gets off to a good start, the Seahawks could have a good shot at advancing.
Lynch will have to shift into "Beast Mode" as well, but if his 1,590 yards on 315 carries for 11 touchdowns this season are any indication, look for six-year veteran to have a big game.
Defense
Seattle allowed more rushing yards than Washington this season, with the Seahawks yielding 103.1 yards to the Redskins 95.8 rushing yards. Stopping Lynch will be key for the Redskins, who can ill-afford to let him grind through the middle.
However, Washington's pass defense, which gave up 281.9 yards, is what may decide the game. If they allow Wilson to get comfortable with his receivers, they're done for. The same can be said for the Seahawks, sixth in the NFL in passing defense this season. RG3 will face a tough task trying to get things going through Seattle's still pass defense, but he has the talent and the weapons in receiving to do just that.
With one of the best pass defenses in football meeting one of the most dangerous quarterbacks playing right now, it should be one fun game to watch.
