The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is less than a week away from displaying the next innovations and sessions from the technology industry from Las Vegas.

The CES, owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), has been the place to debut new products that has since changed the electronics industry such as the videocassette recorder (VCR) in 1920, the compact disc player in 1981, the original Xbox in 2001, Blu-Ray DVD in 2003, 3D HDTV in 2009, and the Android Honeycomb in 2011, among many more.

For the CES 2013, taking place between Jan. 8 and 11, will host up to 16 keynote speakers, from technology presidents, CEOs, and musicians.

Dr. Paul E. Jacobs: Chairman and CEO of Qualcomm Inc. (Jan. 7 at 6:30 p.m.) : Dr. Jacobs will be delivering the preshow keynote address and will highlight Qualcomm's "Born Mobile' theme that will address mobile technology's role around the world.

Gary Shapiro: CEA President and CEO (Jan. 8 at 8:30 a.m.) : The president of the CEA will deliver the "State of the CE Industry" keynote address, and will discuss the vision of what's to come in the tech industry.

Kazuhiro Tsuga: Panasonic Corp. President (Jan. 8 at 8:30 a.m., immediately after CEA CEO Shapiro) : CEA CEO Shapiro has stated to be "thrilled" to have Tsuga deliver the opening keynote and looks forward to share the vision Panasonic has and leadership in green innovation.

Lowell McAdam: Chairman and CEO of Verizon (Jan 8 at 4:30 p.m.): McAdam became Verizon's CEO in August 2011 and Chairman in January 2012, and CEA President Shapiro looks for McAdam to discuss the future of accessing technology and "empowering consumers" around the world.

Dr. Stephen Woo: Samsung Electronics' Device Solutions Business President (Jan. 9 at 9 a.m.): Speaking at the second day of the CES 2013, Dr. Woo is expected to share his insight on how to enable consumer product innovations.

"Samsung captures global attention when it launches its dynamic products at the International CES," said CES President and CEO Shapiro. "We all look forward to hearing Dr. Stephen Woo share Samsung's vision from across Samsung Device Solutions, the world leader in advanced semiconductor and display solutions for the IT industry."

Eleven other keynote speakers are planned during the convention, including musician will.i.am. As the founder and chairman of i.am.plus llc, will.i.am will be part of The Next Generation of Innovators Keynote on Jan. 8 at 11 a.m.
