If you own a Google Nexus 7, webOS will soon be available for download, according to an Android Authority report. HP's operating system, now in alpha stage, is not yet available for everyday users of the platform, but its core foundation is in place.
On its official site, HP advertises the operating system as "the next generation of web-centric platforms built to run on a wide range of form factors. The Open webOS Project is a key part of the ecosystem of our company, along with the webOS cloud services product offerings and the Enyo Open Source Project."
While webOS's market share is a far cry from iOS and Android, the OS is an interesting curiosity that may be worth checking out if you've become jaded with the current mobile platforms available. So far, there is no word on when or if webOS will also be ported to iOS devices, but make sure to check back with Latinos Post for any future updates.
Google's device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sports a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, a 1280x800 display, and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. Consumers can get their hands on the 16GB model for $199.99, the 32GB for $249.99, and a cellular 32GB for $299.99.
