In the mid-season finale of 'New Girl,' entitled "Santa," Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and the gang party hopped from one Christmas party to the next on Christmas Eve. The episode, which aired December 11, featured a lot of relationship drama as Sam (David Walton) attempted to win back Jess' affections and Nick (Jake Johnson) dealt with his sexually adventurous new girlfriend Angie (Olivia Munn). Schmidt (Max Greenfield) wasn't left out of the drama as he continued to reject Cece (Hannah Simone) after she turned him down.
The episode ended in a high note with Sam and Jess back together as a full on couple and Nick and Angie sorting out their issues. In the upcoming mid-season opener, entitled "Cabin," the two couples will find themselves in a romantic weekend away in a cabin. Back at home, Winston (Lamorne Morris) attempts to teach Schmidt about race relationships.
What's ahead for this goofy group of roommates? The season's 13th episode, entitled "A Father's Love," will see the return of Robbie-Cece's ex-boyfriend-played by Nelson Franklin. There will also be some talk on the future of Jess and Nick's relationship-despite the fact that Jess is dating Sam-in the season's 16th episode, entitled "Marriage," writes E! Online.
