The battery power of a Samsung product will be getting an upgrade.
The Galaxy S3 smartphone, which has been selling greatly for the South Korean-based company against rival Apple's iPhone 5, is going to receive the extended battery with a price of $65.
The Galaxy S3 features a screen size of 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display, with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB internal storage models, 1GB of RAM, eight-megapixel rear-facing camera, and is available for AT&T, Spring, T-Mobile, Verizon, and US Cellular.
Currently, the mAh of the Galaxy S3 is 2,100 mAh.
The mAh rates the power capacity of a device. The higher the mAh then the more powerful the batteries are, according to Webopedia.
The battery update for the Samsung smartphone will increase it to 3,000 mAh, just 100 mAh short compared to the Galaxy Note 2.
With the battery extension, however, the smartphone is expected to have an extra "bump" on the back, therefore a replacement back cover is provided when purchasing the battery.
In addition, according to MobileFun, a Near Field Communication (NFC) ship is featured in the kit, noting it "allows your S3 full capabilities to use NFC technology on items such as Samsung TecTiles."
The extended battery is available for the white and blue versions of the Galaxy S3.
