Good news for fans of the Nokia Lumia 920, it will be available on other mobile carriers - if you live in the United Kingdom.

The Lumia 920 features a 4.5-inch Puremotion HD+ display, Windows Phone 8 operating system, dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, 8.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, Near Field Communication (NFC), and 32GB for internal storage.

Similar to how AT&T is the exclusive carrier of the Lumia 920, the Nokia smartphone is also exclusively held by EE (Everything Everywhere).

"We have been listening to what our loyal consumers want and we have been working to make the Lumia 920 available from other retailers from January onwards", noted Nokia on its UK Facebook page.

The other UK mobile carriers have not been confirmed.

But with the Lumia 920 availability expanding in the UK, is there hope for US customers?

News has been scarce but back in October Latinos Post reported that the AT&T deal is valid for only six months. Since the Lumia 920 launched in November, it could therefore be launched on other carriers by May or June 2013.

As provided by WPCentral, a training video notes the Lumia 920 to be exclusive to AT&T for six months, seen below.

There are other smartphones with the Windows Phone 8 operating system on other carriers such as Verizon with the Lumia 822 and US Cellular has committed to carry one as well, but hasn't noted which smartphone yet. Sprint has not committed to a Windows Phone 8 smartphone either, yet.
